Before an OT recommendation becomes building work, it has to work in the building.
Altitude Construction Group works with occupational therapists, participants and other project stakeholders on home modifications involving structural or technically complex construction.
Send the OT recommendations and any drawings, photos or documentation. We call you within 1 business day.

THE OT'S ROLE
An occupational therapist determines the participant's functional needs and recommends the home modification.
OUR ROLE IS DIFFERENT
We assess the construction requirements: the existing structure, site conditions, access, services, approvals and the practical work required to deliver the recommended modification.
Where a proposed scope raises a construction issue, our team discusses it with the OT before progressing the quotation.
Registered NDIS provider for Home Modification. Check our registration on the NDIS Commission provider register by searching our ABN, 38 117 317 085.
Complex home modification works
Depending on the approved scope and site requirements, works may include:
✓ accessible bathroom modifications
✓ structural alterations
✓ doorway and access modifications
✓ permanent ramps
✓ building works associated with lifts or hoists
✓ plumbing, electrical and related construction works, by licensed trades
✓ remedial or structural works required within the modification area

Established construction capability
Altitude Construction Group's construction history dates to 1977.
Our existing capabilities include structural strengthening, remedial construction, waterproofing, concrete repair, building diagnostics and project delivery across residential, commercial and public-sector environments.
We bring that construction background to accessibility and home modification work.

Grab rails, lever taps and threshold ramps on their own are usually better served by a specialist installer, and we'll tell you so on the call. When they're part of a larger job, we do them as part of the same quote.
A note on minor modifications
Building SDA?
For developers and SDA providers, we build to the NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation Design Standard. SDA registration and dwelling enrolment sit with the provider who owns the dwelling.
Questions OTs ask us
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
Yes. Altitude is registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission for Home Modification, in force until September 2028. You can check it on the Commission's provider register by searching our ABN, 38 117 317 085.
Is a construction review the same as the NDIS building construction practitioner role?
No. We review the scope so we can quote it. On jobs we quote, the building construction practitioner and building works project manager roles must be independent of the quoting builders.
Who decides the funding?
The NDIA. Your independent OT completes the home modification assessment. We assess the construction, quote, build and hand over.
What if the participant rents?
The owner must agree before NDIS funding can pay for modifications. We can prepare a plain-English scope summary for the landlord.
Have a home modification scope you need a builder to review?

Detailed information matters before quoting
Complex home modifications can require supporting drawings and documentation, construction input and, for NDIS funding, itemised quotations.
A clearer scope at the beginning helps everyone understand what is being priced and what needs to be built.
